Who Am I?
Rachel is a performer based out of Seattle, Washington. She was born in a small coastal town near central Oregon, where she lived out most of her childhood. After her family moved to Seattle, she turned to theatre, and what started off as a fun way to make new friends grew into a lifelong passion.
As an actor, a large portion of Rachel’s training came from her time with Village Theatre’s KIDSTAGE program. She has performed in several productions with them as a student. Titles include Sister Act (Deloris Van Cartier), AIDA (Amanosoro), and RENT (Maureen Johnson), along with several others. Rachel also spent a summer studying with the MICHA institute learning from the likes of Tom Morrissey and John McManus along with many other fantastic teachers.
Rachel has graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Arts in Musical Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado in 2022.
Rachel is fairly new to the directing scene, but has found a love for the craft. After working for a while as an assistant director, Rachel made her directorial debut in the summer of 2021 with a production of Spitfire Grill. The show ran on the Village Theatre Mainstage as a part of their Summer Independent Program. She is excited to continue learning and has plans to direct more projects in the future.
Outside of theatre, Rachel has many hobbies. She enjoys knitting, weightlifting, and reading. She loves days she gets to spend outside with her sweet border collie mix, Cleo. As she was finishing her time at school she enjoyed being involved in student groups. Rachel was board head for UNCo’s School of Theatre Arts and Dance Studnet Equity and Advisory Board for the last two years of her college career. She also spent every Sunday goofing around with her friends in their sketch comedy group called Hello My Name Is.
